Reading individual reviews is slow. Trends across reviews are invisible without aggregation. By the time you notice 'the new pricing keeps coming up in reviews' or 'support latency is mentioned in 30% of negatives,' it's been costing you installs for weeks. The data is in your reviews, you just can't read 4,000 of them.
Four things Reviews Intelligence unlocks
Review velocity for you and every competitor
Daily / weekly / monthly review counts for your app and every tracked competitor. Spot velocity drops the day they happen.
Sentiment shifts over rolling windows
Aggregate sentiment over short, medium, and long rolling windows. Catch deteriorating sentiment before the public rating itself moves.
AI-classified review themes
Every review gets a primary theme and a sub-theme, pricing, support, missing features, bugs, UX, onboarding, integrations. Similar reviews are grouped across apps.
Cluster drill-down + competitor leaderboard
Click any theme cluster to read every underlying review across your app and competitors. Competitor leaderboards by theme show who's winning on support, who's losing on pricing.
The precise capabilities
Not a marketing summary, what the feature actually does, in the same depth a customer success conversation would cover.
Velocity and sentiment
- Review velocity chart, daily / weekly / monthly review counts for your app vs each competitor, normalized so you can compare a brand-new app against an established one.
- Sentiment chart, rolling sentiment over short, medium, and long windows. The medium-window curve is the early-warning system because it leads the public rating by weeks.
- Sentiment-by-country and sentiment-by-language, useful when your sentiment is fine in English but tanking in a localized market.
Theme clustering
- Every analyzed review is grouped with thematically-similar reviews across the catalogue.
- Each cluster has a plain-English summary label (e.g. 'Onboarding setup confusion', 'Pricing felt too high after trial', 'Integration with Klaviyo broken') and a count of how many reviews belong to it.
- The cluster drill-down shows every review in the cluster with its context, which app, which date, which rating, so you can read the underlying voice of the customer at scale.
Competitor leaderboards by theme
- For each theme (pricing, support, etc.) you see which competitor has the highest share of reviews mentioning it.
- Sorted descending so the gap you can close is visible at a glance.
- Useful for finding 'where competitors are losing customers' so you can position against it.
Weekly digest email
- Sent every Monday morning to workspace Admins.
- Sections: this week's review velocity (you and competitors), sentiment delta vs prior week, new clusters detected, top three actionable themes.
- Multi-app workspaces get one email with a section per tracked app.
- Opt-out via Settings → Email preferences.
Beta status
- Reviews Intelligence is in open beta on Starter and Pro. The theme-summarization quality is the active improvement axis.
- Self-serve: enable it from Settings → Reviews Intelligence after you've signed up.
- New reviews appear in velocity and sentiment surfaces within 24 hours; theme assignment can take a little longer as similar reviews accumulate.
What you see in your dashboard
Reviews Intelligence shows velocity charts, sentiment trend lines, and a theme cluster map. Click any cluster to read every underlying review with context. Competitor leaderboards by theme show you who's winning on what.

Frequently asked
How is sentiment classified?
Every review is classified as positive / negative / mixed based on a combination of its rating and a language pass on the text. Rolling shares of each over time surface the sentiment trend, the medium window leads the public rating by weeks.
What are 'themes' and 'clusters'?
Themes are the categories every review gets classified into, pricing, support, missing features, bugs, UX, onboarding, integrations, each with a sub-theme for more precise grouping. Clusters group thematically-similar reviews across apps, so you can see 'every review about pricing confusion' across your app and your tracked competitors.
Whose reviews are included?
Every public review on the Shopify App Store for your tracked app and your tracked competitors.
When do new reviews show up?
Velocity and sentiment surfaces update daily. Theme assignment can take a bit longer for very new reviews as similar ones accumulate.
How do I get into the beta?
